Ladies of India

Waaaaay back in '09, in utter shock I posted a link to an article about extremist Hindus who wanted the ladies of India to behave in a more restrained and decorous manner.

I'm happy to report that such sentiments are apparently being ignored.

Go India!

Funny - that video immediately made me think of the sound that Timbaland and other R&B producers were coming out with about 10 years ago ...

But of course, that sound is itself taken from Indian pop music.

It's not all sunshine and roses over there, of course. They've got pretty strict rules about what they can show on screen. Even kissing is an issue over there.

So they uses stuff like this to get around that. And frankly, I find that can be hotter than kissing, etc. Sorta in the same spirit as this famous Hollywood scene.

Roger: Yeah, and I enjoyed that sound, though I think they slowed it down a bit too often, made it kinda plodding and heavy, which was also the thing to do back then. I like this a lot better.
