First of all, Edgar Rice Burroughs is seeing something of a resurgence, almost certainly due to his work entering the public domain. You can get the scoops over at the aptly named Rebels of Mars. Not only has the long-languishing-in-development-hell Barsoom movie been picked up by Pixar, of all people, but there's also a team promising a Pirates of Venus movie for 2010.
